Özet

Bu çalışmada İsrail-Filistin çatışması örnek olayı üzerinden Avrupa Birliği (AB)’nin uluslararası alandaki etkinliğinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmaktadır. Avrupa dış politikasının niteliği, İsrail-Filistin çatışması olayı karşısında sergilenen yaklaşım ve eylemlere yansımıştır. Bu olay Avrupa dış politikasının uzun vadeye yayılan gelişim sürecinin ve sonuçlarının sınanmasında uygun bir örneği oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada AB’nin örnek olay üzerindeki siyasi, ekonomik, sosyal etkileri analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçta, AB’nin İsrail-Filistin çatışmasına yönelik uluslararası politikaların uygulanmasına yardımcı olan, katkı sağlayan ikincil bir role sahip sivil güç konumunda bulunduğu görülmüştür. Aynı zamanda AB’nin yaklaşımlarında, eylemlerinde ve üye ülkeler arasında ortaklık, tutarlılık ilkelerinin karşılandığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.    

EUROPEAN FOREIGN POLICY: ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT AS A CASE STUDY

Abstract

In this study, the international effectiveness of the European Union (EU) is aimed to be exhibited over Israeli-Palestinian conflict case. The quality of the European foreign policy reflects position and actions which are exhibited in the face of Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Therefore this case is a convenient example for examining the long term progress and results of the European foreign policy. In the thesis, the political, economic and social effects of the EU on the case are analysed in the context of examining approaches and actions of the EU and the progress of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In conclusion, it is observed that the EU hold a secondary role standing as a civilian power which assists and contrubutes to fulfill international politics directed to Israeli-Palestinian conflict. At the same time, it is seen that the approaches and actions of the EU and the member states are responded with unity and consistency.
